We are now fluorocarbon free
As one of the first brands in our industry, our entire collection is completely fluorocarbon free since fall 2018.
Fluorocarbons are used for a variety of reasons within the outdoor industry, in everything from waterproof shell clothing to tents and fishing lines. The substances can also be found in several other products. In everything from the manufacturing- and electronics industry to impregnated paper, detergents, firefighting foam, bags for microwave popcorn and nonstick pans. These perfluorinated substances are used for their ability to create water-, fat- and grease repellent surfaces.
We are very proud to be one of the first brands in our industry to completely phase out fluorocarbons.
Since fall 2018, all our products are completely free from fluorocarbons. Both membranes and water repellency treatments. We are very proud to be one of the first brands in our industry to completely phase out fluorocarbons. You can also buy fluorocarbon free water repellency treatment to boost your old shell layers. We recommend that you reapply the water repellency treatment every four washes and reactivate it after every wash. You reactivate the treatment by heating the garment in a dryer. Read the care label on the garment.
