Great coat. I’m a medium in the standard power houdi but small seems a great fit for me.

Primaloft Gold is a padding at the forefront of technology, made from 100% recycled polyester. It has a similar warmth-to-weight ratio as down and has a wonderful soft feeling, but the real difference comes in wet conditions. Primaloft Gold keeps 95% of its warmth when it’s wet. M's Dunfri is highly packable with an integrated stow pocket. It also has a PFAS-free water repellency treatment.
We use synthetic padding not only for the performance benefits but also because we don’t believe birds should suffer for our comfort’s sake.

When your M's Dunfri is completely worn out we kindly ask you to return it to Houdini for recycling. We have recycling units in all our own stores and at many retailers.
High density ripstop polyester. Water repellant, highly wind resistant, ultralight and stowable.
A highly water repellant, durable and quick drying alternative to down. Exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio.
Our padded garments are made with synthetic insulation from Primaloft. There are many advantages to a synthetic padding compared to down: You don't have to tumble dry the garment with balls to regain the shape, it dries faster and it doesn't smell when it's damp.
The Circular label means that this product is made either from recycled and recyclable or renewable and biodegradable fibers. Most products in today's society are made in a linear lifecycle, where earth's resources are extracted, used and then discarded. This is not working in the long run and comes at a great environmental impact. Instead, we want to close the loop and reuse the material we already have. But we need your help. When your Houdini garments are completely worn out, please return them to us through the recycling units we have in all our own stores and at many retailers.
The Recycled label means that this garment contains at least 50% recycled fibers (often more, see product description). The source is either recycled clothes or other sources like PET bottles. We mainly use recycled polyester, which has many benefits. It reduces both CO2 emissions and water use compared to virgin polyester. How much depends on the type of recycling. One of our suppliers show 32% less CO2 emissions and 94% less water use for mechanically recycled polyester. Besides the production impact, the major shift is using "waste" as raw material instead of crude oil.
The Recyclable label means that the raw material in this product can be used for new products, instead of becoming waste. Our goal is that by 2030, we will take no raw material to our products from the earth's crust. Circular products, made from reycled and recyclable materials are a real game changer, but we need your help for the system to work. When your Houdini garments are completely worn out, please return them to us. We have recycle units in all of our own stores and at many retailers.
The Bluesign® Label means that the production is vetted by a third party to eliminate any harmful chemicals or substances right from the beginning of the production process. This benefits both people, animals and our entire planet.

Great coat. I’m a medium in the standard power houdi but small seems a great fit for me.
This is just an excellent winter jacket first and foremost. It was a little hard for me to believe how warm it would be based on the weight, but it really is, it's incredibly warm. The fit is interesting- I don't find the arms to be particularly long compared to the other reviews, but maybe I have a bit longer arms. It's somewhat slim through the body, but a bit of extra fabric on the arms. Definitely long enough in the torso. For reference, I'm 5'10 and 195 lbs, and got a L. An excellent coat, well worth it and excited to use it for a very long time.
I didn’t want to believe the other review stating that the sleeves were too long but they are indeed. I wear medium on every brand and the sleeve length is never an issue. I will go to the tailor and see if it can be altered without losing its original elastic cuff. I don’t want to return it because I love the brand and what it stands for. Also the hazel color is awesome. I look forward to wearing it under the 100% wool Lana anorak which I plan to order as soon as it is available for men.
An excellent coat! I couldn’t believe the weight to warmth ratio. I’ve worn just a t-shirt and the Dunfri in freezing Utah temps and been very warm. Add another layer and you’ll get hot if it’s not cold enough. Even in wind, I’ve been toasty. This is a perfect everyday/travel coat because it’s so light and packs so small. Everything about it is top quality. The construction, zippers, and fit are unmatched. I’m 5’11’’ and weigh about 195 with abnormally long arms and the large is perfect. It’s got enough room for layers without being baggy and the sleeves hit just above my wrist on the back of my hand. The hood is perfect too. I wear a ball cap in the winter and the hood fits over it really well. I’ll buy a new one if this one ever gives out, but I think it’s going to be a long time. An absolute home run from Houdini.
The Dunfri is excellent. Lightweight while still providing incredible warmth. The fit is true to size while still allowing layering and is cut so that movement is never restricted. I've worn this in Utah temps below freezing with just a t shirt underneath and it kept me plenty warm. To date, this is the best synthetic, do-it-all winter jacket I've found. I will buy these until they're no longer available.
The most perfect jacket for any chill or cold day. Use it every day during the winter. Keeps me warm even when just wearing a t-shirt in 10 minus Best jacket I have ever had.
I was so attached to my previous Dunfri jacket, but it had gotten a bit tight, so I decided to go one size up. I’m sad to say the fabrication is not as good on this newer model, (my old jacket was 3-4 years old.) the cuffs used to have a soft stretchy liner but now they have some weird rough elastic band on them- not nearly as comfortable. The size is also not great for me- small was too small but medium is much too big- mostly too long- on me. I’m 5’7” and 70kg.
The fabric also seems to have subtly changed and is now less silky, but that could just be that the fabric on my old jacket was worn in.
All in all I’m sad they changed the design, and wish I’d tried the jacket on before buying it. My old jacket was fantastic- best jacket I’ve ever had. This new one feels less good in comparison.
This is a jacket that minimalist hikers would love. It has a silky appearance and feels incredibly smooth and comfortable to wear. However, due to its shiny outer fabric, wear and tear can become quite noticeable. If you’re venturing into areas with lots of branches or narrow trails, you’ll need to be cautious to avoid damaging the outer fabric. I’m 183 cm tall and weigh 78 kg, and the size L fits me perfectly.
I like the minimalist design I find it's what I need nothing more nothing less.
Autumn and spring or as a mid-layer in winter. Airy light fabric that unfortunately breaks far too quickly. No reinforcement towards the cuffs or bottom of the jacket means that it frays and creates "pull marks" several cm up. Sad with an otherwise nice jacket!
