Meet the future of lightweight, active insulation. By combining a unique textured yarn with cutting edge 3D knitting technology, we achieve a concept for making knitted performance garments that is nothing short of groundbreaking.
For the Airweb™ Knit insulation technology we use a textured yarn that combines Teijin Waveron™ and Teijin Deltapeak™ yarns, creating a strong, stretchy material with a soft, “fuzzy” character. The Waveron™ fibers have a flat cross section with grooves running along the fiber. This unique micro structure provides high moisture transportation and a soft, flowy feeling. It also allows us to make knitted fabrics with open structure to increase airflow without making them see-through.
Airweb™ Knit uses Shima-Seiki Wholegarment, a cutting edge 3D knitting technology where different panels of the garment can be knitted with different structures seamlessly. This technology allows us to design garments that truly feel like an extension of your body, provide full freedom of movement and never interfere with other garments in a layering system.
The unique combination of yarn and knitting technology creates a concept that pushes both performance and comfort. The Airweb™ Knit fabric is incredibly soft, flowy and feels amazing next to skin. The lofty fibers in combination with the open knit structure builds a layer of warm air with a level of breathability that no conventional fabrics can match. The structure of the material and fibers will quickly vent out excess heat or moisture. The stretch and recovery of the fabric is incredible which provides full freedom of movement and a completely unrestricted feeling.

Staying warm is easy: Just put on more clothes. The tricky thing is to stay just warm enough to be comfortable but not get overheated, especially if you are sprinting through the woods or ski touring up a mountainside. Building up excess heat or moisture is one of the most common problems for high pulse outdoor sports. It will make you uncomfortable, disturb your flow, lower your performance and make you cold when you stop for a break.
The open structure of the Lykan fabric makes it relatively cool when you wear it as a standalone piece, but incredibly warm when you put a layer on top of it. The high-tech 3D-knitting and unique yarn of the Airweb™ Knit concept creates a garment that feels like an extension of your own body, providing unlimited freedom of movement. It’s incredibly soft and comfortable to wear next to skin as a warm base layer, or on top of a merino base as a lofty mid-layer. This is the key to a perfect layering system for high pulse activities.
