Fall In Parka is a Houdini-take on the classic padded parka. So what’s different? We are working with soft, silent and light fabrics to enhance the feeling of comfort. It also means that we reduce the environmental impact of the production by using recycled and recyclable fabrics and don’t use any PFAS. It gives you the cozy shelter of a classic parka, but is much lighter and softer.
Fall In Parka is padded with Primaloft® Silver Insulation Hi-Loft Ultra. It’s a lightweight padding with high warmth and excellent breathability. We work only with synthetic padding because we don’t want to be a part of the down industry and risk hurting any birds. Primaloft® also works much better in wet conditions. The padding is recycled and recyclable.
The outer fabric in the parka is called Spheric 2-layer Hardshell. It’s a recycled and recyclable polyester fabric equipped with our well tested membrane Atmos. Atmos is hydrophilic pure polyester membrane completely free from PFAS, both in the membrane and the water repellent (DWR).
If you’re looking for a personal cocoon to keep you warm in any weather, you’ve found the right jacket. Most of our customers wear it for everyday use, but it’s also a great choice if you want a warmer jacket for skiing or snowboarding.
This product is recyclable and we kindly ask you to return it to us when it’s completely worn out.
Supple, soft and silent stretch hardshell. Waterproof, breathable, lightweight and stowable.
High density ripstop polyester. Water repellant, highly wind resistant, ultralight and stowable.
A highly water repellant, durable and quick drying alternative to down. Exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio. Vertically oriented fibers creates air-trapping voids for excellent insulation.
When washing clothes made of synthetic fabrics, the use of a washing bag becomes even more important: It prevents microplastics from entering into rivers and oceans.
The Circular label means that this product is made either from recycled and recyclable or renewable and biodegradable fibers. Most products in today's society are made in a linear lifecycle, where earth's resources are extracted, used and then discarded. This is not working in the long run and comes at a great environmental impact. Instead, we want to close the loop and reuse the material we already have. But we need your help. When your Houdini garments are completely worn out, please return them to us through the recycling units we have in all our own stores and at many retailers.
The Recycled label means that this garment contains at least 50% recycled fibers (often more, see product description). The source is either recycled clothes or other sources like PET bottles. We mainly use recycled polyester, which has many benefits. It reduces both CO2 emissions and water use compared to virgin polyester. How much depends on the type of recycling. One of our suppliers show 32% less CO2 emissions and 94% less water use for mechanically recycled polyester. Besides the production impact, the major shift is using "waste" as raw material instead of crude oil.
The Recyclable label means that the raw material in this product can be used for new products, instead of becoming waste. Our goal is that by 2030, we will take no raw material to our products from the earth's crust. Circular products, made from reycled and recyclable materials are a real game changer, but we need your help for the system to work. When your Houdini garments are completely worn out, please return them to us. We have recycle units in all of our own stores and at many retailers.
We offer free shipping for orders above 140 CAD. For orders below we will add a shipping cost of 15 CAD.

So warm and soft. The coat is very comfortable, has nice big pockets, and fits perfectly (162 cm)
the parka is too big. i had to order s. this one is really great, i love it. very warm and comfortable. Unfortunately I still don't have the money back for the other one
I love this Houdini new coat! It's become my favorite daily wear. I am not a active person. But this coat makes me want to be.
My first Houdini coat journey purchase began with a friend at work telling me just bought this amazing favorite coat. She told me she had one from years ago , she let me try it on and we both decided to buy the same coat in the same colour.
The moment it arrived I have worn it every day. This coat is pillow soft. And has kept me warm and dry in heavy rainy weather.
Stylish and comfortable for every situation. I have received many compliments from everyone. Wanting to have their own Houdini jacket of their own.
Today I got acrylic paint on the sleeves today. It was easy to clean with water and Dishsoap! What a easy to clean material.
I hope this coat will last many many years to come until I can afford another one.
Bought this parka for Seattle and Salt Lake City winters. I haven’t worn in SLC yet but when it dipped into high 30s in Seattle, i had to layer up a little bit so I expect I’ll need to do this when it’s colder out. Perfect with no layers for 40s. Very lightweight and comfortable (not stiff), this will be my everyday coat in the winter
The parka is wonderfully soft and warm. The logo and branding are subtle so it works well as a city coat and for outdoors. The construction quality is excellent and I am looking forward to using this for many years.
I am submitting this review to address the dearth of comments on how this parka performs as a ski jacket. I am typically a medium in US clothing (or size 8) and purchased this in small for a fitted look. I suspect, though am not positive, that a medium would have been fine if I had wanted a roomier fit. It does feel a little tight right at the bottom of parka when I zip it up but it's fine.
I purchased this parka to ski at a resort, where temperatures ranged from -2°F to 40°F. With a base and mid layer, this product kept me warm despite gusting winds at mountain summit. The hood also accommodated my ski helmet although it did restrict my head movement when I fell, leading to neck strain. So be careful when wearing the hood over a helmet. The collar does a nice job of keeping bottom half of face warm if you don't have a ski bacalava on.
The interior mesh pocket was quite useful to hold bulky ski gloves and other things. Nice touch. But I'm not sure how long it will last without getting a hole in it.
Having to snap the jacket flap can be annoying as a couple reviewers pointed out. But does not outweigh how warm this parka is despite being so lightweight.
Finally, a word on the exterior large pockets. Size is great but if nothing is inside pockets it can be a minor nuisance to slip your hands in there because the outside part of pocket extends beyond where the pocket flap folds over. (I may not be explaining this well.) I suspect the intent was to make it more difficult for things to fall out of the pockets, which is the case. This is certainly not a deal breaker, just a minor nuisance. I certainly appreciated their size when I need to jam snacks, mittens and such.
Overall, this is an excellent parka that looks good on while skiing as well as while roaming downtown streets.
This coat kept me dry in torrential downpour while hiking in Vancouver, British Columbia and very warm in Toronto with temperatures dipping below -10 Celsius. The weather in Canada is very diverse and this coat certainly meets my needs. It is light, beautifully made and very durable. It dries very quickly.
Sooooo warm! No more layers and layers of clothes. Big pockets <3 Height 180 cm and I have very long arms (and legs). Reason I often have to buy men's clothes. If sleeves are okay, the other measurements are too big Sizes I use are M-L .
I live in Wales and walk or bike to work everyday - so use my waterproof coat a lot!
The quality of this parka is great and worth the price.
I have found the sizing slightly on a bigger side.
I would say the fit is somewhat spaceous, im 182 cm and 90 kg and i find the XL good for me, even space for an extra layer if really cold winters. I use this as an everyday jacket in wintertime. Its perfect for the slushy days with rain/ snow when the down jacket would have become soaked. I have even used it as an insulated rain jacket during fall/ spring. I love it is just perfectly insulated for about -5 degC to 10 degC. A jacket that filled a gap in my wardrobe :)
