W's Alto Half Zip
Warm, light and comfortable reinforcement garment in women's model. The mix of the all-natural merino wool and Tencel® is a perfect alternative to synthetic fleece.
Description
Let nature warm you! Alto Halfzip is designed in the Swedish-made material Woolly Treemerino™, a warm, stretchy and lightweight material in 60% merino wool and 40% TENCEL™ Lyocell. The merino wool gives the garment warmth and is naturally odor resistant, while the cellulose-based Tencel fiber gives the material structure and efficient moisture transport. As we never mix natural and synthetic fibers, we can guarantee a garment that is both biological biodegradable and recyclable.
Design of functional and versatile midlayer has always been a specialty of Houdini. This all-natural wool fleece will keep you warm no matter what adventure you take on. Use it as midlayer under your shell jacket when you ski, as an outer garment for hiking on a crisp autumn day or as a warming sweater after a chilly surf. An excellent choice for those who are looking for a warm and technical fleece, and prefer natural materials to synthetics. The jacket is useful all year round, for all situations in life when you need to keep warm in cold temperatures.
Don't throw away the garment when it's worn out! Alto Halfzip is made from recycled and recyclable fibers. The valuable raw materials can be reused. Feel free to drop off the garment at a Houdini store or take it to a retailer that has one of our recycling units.

Care advice
Woolen clothing
Wool is a fantastic material that has natural dirt and bacteria resistance. Therefore, wool does not need to be washed after each use. Hang up and vent instead. Too much washing deteriorates the wool's properties and wears out the garments unnecessarily.
- Feel free to use a laundry bag that protects your garments.
- Wash with a gentle program or wool program, maximum 30 degrees.
- Preferably use wool detergent and be sure to use the correct dosage. If you do not have detergent for wool, you can use mild environmentally certified detergents. Then choose a detergent without enzymes that has a neutral pH.
- Avoid bleaches, alkaline substances that raise the pH value and enzymes such as proteases or amylase because some enzymes break down proteins and fats in the wool. This also applies to silk.
- Avoid fabric softener. In addition to being bad for the environment, it impairs the garment's performance, especially moisture transport and drying time.
- Do not tumble dry, in addition to being bad for the environment, wool garments are sensitive to high heat.
- Shape the garment after washing and let it dry flat on, for example, a towel.
- As wool is a natural and living material, it is relatively easily shaped by external influences. Therefore, store your woolen garments folded and do not hang them on hangers to avoid the garments losing their shape.
sustainability
circular
The label circular means that this product is made from either recycled and recyclable, or renewable and biodegradable materials. Most products in today's society are linear, where the earth's resources are extracted, used and then discarded. This does not work in the long run and causes enormous strain on the environment. Instead, we want to close the circle and reuse the materials we already have. But we need your help. When your Houdini products are completely worn out, return them to us through our recycling units located in all our own stores and many retailers.
biodegradable
The material in this product is biodegradable. Thanks to the fact that we do not mix our natural materials with synthetic fibers and do not use harmful chemicals, you can compost the product and the only thing left is nutritious soil. Details such as washcloths, zippers, seams, etc. must be cut off and can usually be recycled separately. If you do not have your own compost, you can return the product to us when it is completely worn out. We have recycling units in all our own stores and at many retailers.
renewable
The label renewable means that the product is made entirely of natural, renewable materials. We only use natural fibers that are environmentally sustainable and ethically produced. We use both natural materials and synthetic fibers, both have their advantages, but we never mix them to ensure the product is circular. This means that all fabrics in our products made from natural materials are biodegradable.
Recyclable
The label Recyclable means that the fabric in this product is completely recyclable. Instead of becoming waste, the material can be used to manufacture new products. Our goal is to take no material from the earth's crust into our products by 2030. Circular products, made from recycled and recyclable materials, is a big change but we need your help to make the system work. Return your Houdini garments to us when they are completely worn out. We have recycling units in all our own stores and at many retailers.
