Description
Minimalism increases the feeling of freedom. When a garment is designed for a specific activity, it runs the risk of being useless for anything else you want to do. Shelter Anorak ladies is instead scaled down to a minimum of details, which makes the jacket extremely versatile. It's up to you if you want it best suited for off-piste skiing, bike commuting, paddling or something else entirely. The Shelter Anorak is a portable multi-tool. If you have packed it into your rucksack, you are prepared for all kinds of surprising weather.
The Women's Shelter Anorak is made in the lightweight, durable and stretchy Loop Hardshell ™, a 3-layer waterproof and windproof shell fabric with excellent breathability. The material consists of 70% recycled polyester and is completely free of PFAS. We have added a zipper on the side that makes the clothes easier to put on and take off and also acts as ventilation. The width of the collar is adjusted using three buttons, and the helmet-compatible hood is fully adjustable. The jacket has a generous kangaroo pocket with integrated mobile phone pocket and mesh ventilation.
If you are looking for a durable and super light shell layers without unnecessary details for all kinds of adventures, the Shelter Anorak for women is the right choice. Thanks to the lack of extra functionality, the jacket has a very low packing volume and weight. Live easy, feel the freedom.

Care advice
Shell jackets with membrane
- Air clothes instead of washing if the clothes are not too dirty. You save water, energy and it makes the clothes last longer. However, if you have used the garment in salt water, if it has become really dirty or sweaty, you should wash it. Otherwise, the ventilation in the garment may deteriorate and moisture may even leak in through the dirt.
- Use one laundry bag. It is important when washing synthetic clothes as it protects your garments and prevents microfibers from leaking out. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure to wipe clean and dispose of lint in the bin. Never rinse the laundry bag with water as the fibers can then end up in lakes and oceans.
- Wash at a maximum of 40 degrees.
- There are special detergents for shell layers, but it usually works just as well with the most common varieties. Choose mild environmentally certified detergents and make sure you use the right dose.
- Avoid fabric softener. In addition to being bad for the environment, it impairs the garment's performance, especially moisture transport and drying time.
- Hang dry, but add heat to the garment after washing so that the water-repellent surface of the outer fabric is reactivated. Use a heating cabinet, tumble dryer or iron, just make sure to keep an eye on the heat so the garment doesn't melt.
- You can strengthen the impregnation in the garment with a wash-in or spray that you can find in the webshop or in our stores.
sustainability
circular
This product is completely circular, which means it is made from either recycled and recyclable or renewable and biodegradable materials. Most products in today's society are linear, where the earth's resources are extracted, used and then discarded. This does not work in the long run and causes enormous strain on the environment. Instead, we want to close the circle and reuse the materials we already have. But we need your help. When your Houdini products are completely worn out, return them to us through our recycling units located in all our own stores and many retailers.
recycled
The label recycled means that this garment contains at least 50% recycled fibers (often more, see product description). The source is either recycled clothing or other sources such as PET bottles. We mainly use recycled polyester, which has many advantages. It reduces both CO2 emissions and water use compared to virgin polyester. One of our suppliers shows that mechanically recycled polyester saves 32% CO2 and uses 94% less water. In addition to the footprint of production, the big difference is that we use "waste" as raw material instead of crude oil.
Recyclable
The label Recyclable means that the fabric in this product is completely recyclable. Instead of becoming waste, the material can be used to manufacture new products. Our goal is to take no material from the earth's crust into our products by 2030. Circular products, made from recycled and recyclable materials, is a big change but we need your help to make the system work. Return your Houdini garments to us when they are completely worn out. We have recycling units in all our own stores and at many retailers.
Bluesign®
The label Bluesign® means that a third party ensures that all harmful chemicals or substances are eliminated from the production process right from the start. It benefits both humans, animals and the entire planet.
