What makes them special?
The women's Dock Shorts, which are inspired by workwear, are a tribute to Finnboda Harbor in Stockholm, once one of Sweden's largest shipyards and the location of Houdini's headquarters. The concept is a pair of sturdy durable shorts with all the benefits of modern high performance fabrics. A perfect everyday garment for those who are active.
How do they work?
However, women's shorts are made of immix Weave, a strong fabric with good stretch. Thanks to their durability and light weight, they are suitable for activities such as hiking and rock climbing, but the soft feel and breathability also make them perfect for everyday use. The fabric is made of 75% recycled and 25% pure polyester. It is completely recyclable and Bluesign® certified.
When to use them?
If you want a pair of versatile everyday shorts for an active life and also for outdoor activities such as rock climbing or hiking, Dock Shorts ladies are a perfect choice.
Do not throw this garment away once it is worn out. The raw materials can be recycled and reused. We ask that you return them to one of Houdini's recycling units located in our stores and at many retailers.

Care advice
Synthetic clothing
When washing clothes made of synthetic materials, it is especially important to prevent the spread of microfibres in the water by using a laundry bag.
- Air clothes instead of washing if the clothes are not too dirty. You save water, energy and it makes the clothes last longer.
- Feel free to use a laundry bag. It protects your garments and prevents microfibers from leaking out. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure to wipe clean and dispose of lint in the bin. Never rinse the laundry bag with water as the fibers can then end up in lakes and oceans.
- Wash at a maximum of 40 degrees.
- Wash with mild environmentally certified detergents and be sure to use the correct dosage.
- Avoid fabric softener. In addition to being bad for the environment, it impairs the garment's performance, especially moisture transport and drying time.
- Tumble dry on low heat.
- Iron on low heat.

This product is completely circular, which means it is made from either recycled and recyclable or renewable and biodegradable materials. Most products in today's society are linear, where the earth's resources are extracted, used and then discarded. This does not work in the long run and causes enormous strain on the environment. Instead, we want to close the circle and reuse the materials we already have. But we need your help. When your Houdini products are completely worn out, return them to us through our recycling units located in all our own stores and many retailers.

The label recycled means that this garment contains at least 50% recycled fibers (often more, see product description). The source is either recycled clothing or other sources such as PET bottles. We mainly use recycled polyester, which has many advantages. It reduces both CO2 emissions and water use compared to virgin polyester. One of our suppliers shows that mechanically recycled polyester saves 32% CO2 and uses 94% less water. In addition to the footprint of production, the big difference is that we use "waste" as raw material instead of crude oil.
Recyclable
The label Recyclable means that the fabric in this product is completely recyclable. Instead of becoming waste, the material can be used to manufacture new products. Our goal is to take no material from the earth's crust into our products by 2030. Circular products, made from recycled and recyclable materials, is a big change but we need your help to make the system work. Return your Houdini garments to us when they are completely worn out. We have recycling units in all our own stores and at many retailers.

The label Bluesign® means that a third party ensures that all harmful chemicals or substances are eliminated from the production process right from the start. It benefits both humans, animals and the entire planet.
