Description
What makes it special?
Discover a new generation of active insulation garments. Puff Up Insulated Houdi combines ultralight, very breathable fabrics with a warm and airy Primaloft® lining that creates an unbeatable microclimate and a superior feeling of comfort. As a versatile insulation garment for all seasons and activities, it's hard to beat the Puff Up Insulated Houdi.
How does it work?
Women's Puff Up Insulated Houdi is based on a clear concept: Air circulation. Primaloft® Gold Active Vent is specially developed to work together with stretchy, very breathable fabrics with an open structure. Our Freeflow Shadow Rip encapsulates the light and airy lining without preventing excess heat or moisture from being vented out. The material combination is extremely light and a lot packable, which makes the garment easy to pack. A protective hood, zippered hand pockets, two-way front zipper and adjustable hem complete the functionality. The fabric and lining are made from recycled and recyclable fibers, and the garment is completely PFAS-free.
When should I use it?
Women's Puff Up Insulated Houdi is at its best for high-intensity outdoor activities in cold weather: Top tours, cross country skiing, winter running, hiking, bikepacking – all activities where excess heat and moisture need to be vented away. You stay dry, warm and comfortable.
This garment is created with the future in mind, made from materials that are suitable for recycling. When it finally wears out, we ask that you return it to Houdini so that the raw materials can be used again. In this way, we reduce the need for new resources, minimize environmental impact and limit waste streams.

Care advice
Lined synthetic garments
Our lined garments consist of an outer fabric and an inner fabric, with insulating synthetic lining from Primaloft in between. There are many advantages to using Primaloft's synthetic lining, including not having to tumble dry the garment with balls to puff it up after washing. It dries faster than down and does not smell when wet.
- Air clothes instead of washing if the clothes are not too dirty. You save water, energy and make clothes last longer.
- Use a laundry bag. It is important when you wash synthetic clothes as it protects your garments and prevents microfibers from leaking out. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure to wipe clean and dispose of lint in the bin. Never rinse the laundry bag with water as the fibers can then end up in lakes and oceans.
- Wash at a maximum of 40 degrees.
- Wash with mild environmentally certified detergents and be sure to use the correct dosage.
- Avoid fabric softener. In addition to being bad for the environment, it impairs the garment's performance, especially moisture transport and drying time.
- Hang dry, but add heat to the garment after washing so that the water-repellent surface of the outer fabric is reactivated. Use a heating cabinet, tumble dryer or iron, just make sure to keep an eye on the heat so the garment doesn't melt.
sustainability
circular
The marking circular means that this product is made from either recycled and recyclable or renewable and biodegradable fibres. Most products in today's society are manufactured according to a linear life cycle where the earth's resources are extracted, used and then thrown away. It does not work in the long run and has a major environmental impact. Instead, we want to close the circle and reuse materials we already have. But we need your help. When your Houdini garments are completely worn out, please return them to us via the recycling stations in our stores or at many of our retailers.
recycled
The marking recycled means that this garment contains at least 50% recycled fibers (often more, see product description). The source is either recycled clothing or other materials such as PET bottles. We mainly use recycled polyester, which has many advantages. It reduces both carbon dioxide emissions and water consumption compared to newly produced polyester. How much it reduces depends on the type of recycling. One of our suppliers shows 32% less carbon emissions and 94% less water use for mechanical recycled polyester. In addition to the production gain, the big change is that we use "waste" as raw material instead of fossil oil.
Recyclable
The label Recyclable means that the raw material in this product can be used to create new products instead of becoming waste. Our goal is that by 2030 at the latest, we shall not use any raw materials from the earth's interior for our products. Circular products, made from recycled and recyclable materials, are a real step forward - but for the system to work, we need your help. When your Houdini garments are completely worn out, please return them to us. We have recycling stations in all our own stores and at many retailers.
