What makes it special?
This technical headband is designed to provide comfort during high-intensity activities in alpine environments. The hybrid construction i Moonwalk Headband provides a perfect balance between weather protection, weight, warmth and breathability. Smart and technical insulation garments have always been a hallmark of Houdini - and Moonwalk Headband is a prime example of that.
How does it work?
Moonwalk Headband consists of two main materials: Polartec® Power Air™ Active and C9 Ripstop. Power Air is a warm, stretchy and comfortable fleece material with a supple surface – perfect for layering. The front and sides of the headband are reinforced with C9 Ripstop, an ultra-light, wind-resistant fabric.
Beyond the functionality is Moonwalk Headband completely circular, PFAS-free and made with a textile technology where the fibers that encapsulate warm air are encapsulated in small pockets. The result is a wonderfully warm and breathable midlayer which releases a fraction of the microfibres compared to traditional fleece.
When should I use it?
Moonwalk Headband is designed for high-intensity activities in cold weather. Top tours, winter running, cross country skiing or quick mountain hikes are some examples. The fine balance between heat and ventilation makes it suitable all year round.
This garment is made with the future in mind, from materials suitable for recycling. When it is finally worn out, please return it to Houdini so that the raw material can be used again. In this way, we reduce the need for virgin resources, reduce environmental impact and limit waste streams.

Care advice
base layer, base garment and fleece
When washing clothes made of synthetic materials, it is especially important to prevent the spread of microfibres in the water by using a laundry bag.
- Air clothes instead of washing if the clothes are not too dirty. You save water, energy and it makes the clothes last longer.
- Feel free to use a laundry bag. It protects your garments and prevents microfibers from leaking out. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure to wipe clean and dispose of lint in the bin. Never rinse the laundry bag with water as the fibers can then end up in lakes and oceans.
- Wash at a maximum of 40 degrees.
- Wash with mild environmentally certified detergents and be sure to use the correct dosage.
- Avoid fabric softener. In addition to being bad for the environment, it impairs the garment's performance, especially moisture transport and drying time.
- Do not tumble dry, it wears out both the clothes and the environment unnecessarily. Most synthetic garments dry quickly anyway.
- Hang dry.

The marking circular means that this product is made from either recycled and recyclable or renewable and biodegradable fibres. Most products in today's society are produced according to a linear life cycle, where the earth's resources are extracted, used and then thrown away. This is not sustainable in the long term and entails a large environmental impact. Instead, we want to close the circle and reuse the materials we already have. But we need your help. When your Houdini garments are completely worn out, please return them to our recycling stations located in all our stores and many retailers.
