The Pace series is a clothing collection designed for activities with a high heart rate. What really sets the clothes apart is how you feel wearing them. How the fabrics feel, the fit, how the garments move and how they sound. The Pace Light Shorts for men are designed for increased comfort in action because we believe that when you feel better, you will perform better.
How do they work?
Pace Split Shorts for men are made from C9-stretch, an ultra-light, stretchy and quiet fabric that is perfect for hot summer days. The fabric weighs only 67 g/m² and it almost feels like you're wearing nothing. The integrated underpants increase comfort and hidden elastic at the waist in combination with the side slit provides a perfect fit. A hidden pocket in the back waist is perfect for credit cards or keys.
When should I use them?
The Pace Split Shorts for men are designed for high heart rate activities such as Running, exercise or mountain biking in hot conditions. Walking at a fast pace is another great way to use them. Pretty much any time you want to stay cool and not be weighed down.
When your Pace Split Shorts are completely worn out, you can return them to Houdini for recycling. In this way, none of the raw materials go to waste and instead become new, useful products.

Materials and technology
A light and durable fabric with excellent breathability and high comfort against the skin. The C9 cloth is a reliable Houdini classic. It dampens the impact of the wind without compromising air or moisture permeability, making it perfect for high-tempo activities.
In C9 Stretch, we've kept everything we love about the C9 fabric but added stretchy polyester fibers to create a fabric more suited to garments like running shorts, where a stiff fabric can limit freedom of movement. The fabric consists of 50% recycled polyester and 50% stretch polyester and is fully recyclable.

Care advice
Synthetic clothing
When washing clothes made of synthetic materials, it is especially important to prevent the spread of microfibres in the water by using a laundry bag.
- Air clothes instead of washing if the clothes are not too dirty. You save water, energy and it makes the clothes last longer.
- Feel free to use a laundry bag. It protects your garments and prevents microfibers from leaking out. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure to wipe clean and dispose of lint in the bin. Never rinse the laundry bag with water as the fibers can then end up in lakes and oceans.
- Wash at a maximum of 40 degrees.
- Wash with mild environmentally certified detergents and be sure to use the correct dosage.
- Avoid fabric softener. In addition to being bad for the environment, it impairs the garment's performance, especially moisture transport and drying time.
- Tumble dry on low heat.
- Iron on low heat.

This product is completely circular, which means it is made from either recycled and recyclable or renewable and biodegradable materials. Most products in today's society are linear, where the earth's resources are extracted, used and then discarded. This does not work in the long run and causes enormous strain on the environment. Instead, we want to close the circle and reuse the materials we already have. But we need your help. When your Houdini products are completely worn out, return them to us through our recycling units located in all our own stores and many retailers.

The label recycled means that this garment contains at least 50% recycled fibers (often more, see product description). The source is either recycled clothing or other sources such as PET bottles. We mainly use recycled polyester, which has many advantages. It reduces both CO2 emissions and water use compared to virgin polyester. One of our suppliers shows that mechanically recycled polyester saves 32% CO2 and uses 94% less water. In addition to the footprint of production, the big difference is that we use "waste" as raw material instead of crude oil.
Recyclable
The label Recyclable means that the fabric in this product is completely recyclable. Instead of becoming waste, the material can be used to manufacture new products. Our goal is to take no material from the earth's crust into our products by 2030. Circular products, made from recycled and recyclable materials, is a big change but we need your help to make the system work. Return your Houdini garments to us when they are completely worn out. We have recycling units in all our own stores and at many retailers.
