What makes it special?
Mono Air Houdi is an innovation both functionally and environmentally and has been awarded both ISPO Award Gold and OR Innovation Award Gold. The Mono Air fabric is designed specifically to combat plastic waste. It releases up to 80% less microfibres compared to conventional fleece and is made from recycled and recyclable material. A fleece that both prevents fiber release and is circular is nothing less than world news. When you feel the heat during a cold ski touring or curling up with a cup of coffee at the climbing rock, you can at the same time feel the warmth of participating in the fight for a world without waste.
How does it work?
In a conventional fleece, the fluffy fibers that create the insulating air gap are cut and exposed, allowing them to loosen during use or washing. In Mono Air, endlessly long filament fibers are enclosed in small air pockets between an outer fabric and an inner fabric. The pockets trap the heat from your body which creates insulation and at the same time prevents the insulating fibers from releasing. The outer fabric is reinforced with a "hardface" treatment that counteracts wear, bumps and stitches. The result is a flexible and durable fabric that will keep you warm for many years.
When should I use it?
Mono Air Houdi men's is an easy-to-fold garment that helps you keep warm all year round. The thin, stretchy and hard-wearing material works perfectly as an outer garment or as midlayer under a shell jacket or other winter jacket. Mono Air Houdi has been field tested for peak rides, rock climbing, demanding hiking and many other activities. The tightly knit outer fabric takes the edge off the wind without reducing breathability. The high collar, tight-fitting hood and thumbholes in the cuffs create a feeling of being protected. The garment is created to be as versatile as possible and if you take good care of it, it will be with you for many years.
Please do not throw this garment away when worn out. Mono Air Houdi is created from recycled and recyclable materials. The raw materials are valuable and can be used again. Return the garment to Houdini or in the recycling boxes available at many retailers.

Outer fabric: Polartec® Power Air Light
A completely new material construction where heat-insulating fibers are encapsulated in small pockets. It creates a wonderfully warm and breathable fleece fabric that releases minimal microplastics compared to a normal fleece. Power Air Light is a thinner and lighter version of Power Air.

Care advice
Undergarments, base garments and fleece
This garment is designed to prevent microfibre shedding, but it may be useful to use a laundry bag. It reduces friction between the garments and protects delicate garments in the wash.
- Air clothes instead of washing if the clothes are not too dirty. You save water, energy and it makes the clothes last longer.
- Feel free to use a laundry bag. It protects your garments and prevents microfibers from leaking out. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure to wipe clean and dispose of lint in the bin. Never rinse the laundry bag with water as the fibers can then end up in lakes and oceans.
- Wash with a gentle program at a maximum of 40 degrees.
- Wash with mild environmentally certified detergents and be sure to use the correct dosage.
- Avoid fabric softener. In addition to being bad for the environment, it impairs the garment's performance, especially moisture transport and drying time.
- Do not tumble dry, it wears out both the clothes and the environment unnecessarily. Most synthetic garments dry quickly anyway.
- Hang dry.
- Do not iron.

The label circular means that this product is made from either recycled and recyclable, or renewable and biodegradable materials. Most products in today's society are linear, where the earth's resources are extracted, used and then discarded. This does not work in the long run and causes enormous strain on the environment. Instead, we want to close the circle and reuse the materials we already have. But we need your help. When your Houdini products are completely worn out, return them to us through our recycling units located in all our own stores and many retailers.

The label recycled means that this garment contains at least 50% recycled fibers (often more, see product description). The source is either recycled clothing or other sources such as PET bottles. We mainly use recycled polyester, which has many advantages. It reduces both CO2 emissions and water use compared to virgin polyester. One of our suppliers shows that mechanically recycled polyester saves 32% CO2 and uses 94% less water. In addition to the footprint of production, the big difference is that we use "waste" as raw material instead of crude oil.
Recyclable
The label Recyclable means that the fabric in this product is completely recyclable. Instead of becoming waste, the material can be used to manufacture new products. Our goal is to take no material from the earth's crust into our products by 2030. Circular products, made from recycled and recyclable materials, is a big change but we need your help to make the system work. Return your Houdini garments to us when they are completely worn out. We have recycling units in all our own stores and at many retailers.
