What makes the product special?
Aero Hat is a perfect example of how sustainable innovation and high performance can go hand in hand. This light, airy functional hat not only keeps you warm and comfortable - it also contributes to a world with less waste and less microplastic pollution.
How does it work?
The Polartec® Power Air™ Active fabric is engineered at a structural level to reduce microfiber emissions by encapsulating the airy filament fibers in small pockets within the fabric. It releases up to 80% fewer microfibres compared to traditional fleece and is made from recycled and recyclable materials. Aero Hat is made in the new, updated version of the fabric that has been completely redesigned – it's lighter, more stretchy, softer, dries faster and retains heat better than before. The fabric is also completely recyclable, which means that the raw material used in the garment never has to become waste.
When should I use it?
Use Aero Hat during high-intensity activities in cold weather such as summit tours, cross country skiing, winter running or hiking. It also works well to wear under a helmet. Det är ett riktigt multiverktyg som ger värme och andningsförmåga året runt.
This garment is made with the future in mind, using materials suitable for recycling. When it is finally worn out, please return it to Houdini so that the raw materials can be used again. In this way, we reduce the need for virgin resources, minimize environmental impact and limit waste streams.

Care advice
Synthetic clothing
When washing clothes made of synthetic materials, it is especially important to prevent the spread of microfibres in the water by using a laundry bag.
- Air clothes instead of washing if the clothes are not too dirty. You save water, energy and it makes the clothes last longer.
- Feel free to use a laundry bag. It protects your garments and prevents microfibers from leaking out. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure to wipe clean and dispose of lint in the bin. Never rinse the laundry bag with water as the fibers can then end up in lakes and oceans.
- Wash at a maximum of 40 degrees.
- Wash with mild environmentally certified detergents and be sure to use the correct dosage.
- Avoid fabric softener. In addition to being bad for the environment, it impairs the garment's performance, especially moisture transport and drying time.
- Tumble dry on low heat.
- Iron on low heat.

The marking circular means that this product is made from either recycled and recyclable or renewable and biodegradable fibres. Most products in today's society are manufactured according to a linear life cycle where the earth's resources are extracted, used and then discarded. This is not sustainable in the long run and causes a major environmental impact. Instead, we want to end the cycle and reuse materials we already have. But we need your help. When your Houdini garments are completely worn out, please return them to our recycling stations in our own stores or at many retailers.
Recyclable
The label Recyclable means that the raw material in this product can be used for new products instead of becoming waste. Our goal is that by 2030 at the latest, we shall not use any raw material from the interior of the earth in our products. Circular products – made from recycled and recyclable materials – are a real game changer, but we need your help to make the system work. When your Houdini garments are completely worn out, please return them to us. We have recycling stations in all our own stores and at many retailers.
