Sustainable fabrics: 100%

We did it! 100% of all fabrics we use this season are recycled, recyclable, renewable, biodegradable or Bluesign-certified.

After countless development hours, long meetings and difficult decisions, we can state that it is possible to change the way clothes are produced. It makes us extremely proud. But does that mean we're done? Far from. We intend to change the textile industry from the ground up. Today, clothes are produced, consumed and discarded at a rate that increases year after year. It has to be stopped. Our main goal is to create real alternatives to linear consumption. A circular system, where products last a long time, are used, repaired, reused and finally recycled into new resources.

"Today, clothes are produced, consumed and discarded at a rate that increases year after year. This must be stopped. Our goal is to create real alternatives to linear consumption."

85% of the Fall/Winter 2023 collection is complete circular and the number is increasing rapidly. We also offer services in rental, repair and second-hand sales, which are rapidly increasing in popularity. We're changing this industry and it's going away. We promise not to slow down until we reach our goal of a fully sustainable textile industry.

Another important area and one where the outdoor industry has some work to do is chemical use. Perhaps most important of all: Getting rid of the use of PFAS. PFAS are a group of chemicals that have dirt and water repellent properties and have traditionally been used in impregnations. These chemicals do not break down in nature, are carcinogenic and have been shown to have negative consequences on the reproductive and immune systems of both animals and humans (Source: US EPA). We started phasing out PFAS from our production back in 2012 and have been completely PFAS-free since 2018. We also collaborate with Bluesign® to continuously review our chemical use.
