Run for life with Peppe Lindholm

Running coach and musician Peppe Lindholm can teach us how to run, but also how Running can make us better people. Meet our friend, creative collaborator and the face of our new running campaign.

Running often seen as a sport where numbers rule. Distance, speed, altitude, personal best. But for the Swedish running coach Peppe Lindholm is Running something more – it is an art, a way of expressing oneself, a way of being. While many coaches focus solely on optimizing technique, maximizing efficiency and cutting seconds, Peppe has a different philosophy. He believes that real development comes from rediscovering the joy of movement, listening to the body and embracing the unpredictability of nature.

"A lot of life is out of our control, and just being able to make decisions and directly feel the consequences of them is somehow healing."

- I like to get lost, says Peppe. I often run in the woods near where I live and sometimes I deliberately avoid keeping track of where I am. It adds an extra dimension to the run, and I like the feeling of having to navigate back. Much in life is out of our control, and just being able to make decisions and directly feel the consequences of them is somehow healing.

Unlike traditional training methods that emphasize structured intervals and strict development plans, Peppe's approach is more fluid, intuitive and holistic. He combines years of experience as a coach with his more spiritual side to help runners not only improve their endurance but also rediscover their love for running. Whether he's guiding an experienced ultrarunner or a beginner, his goal is always the same: to get Running to feel light, natural and fun.

"I like to listen to slow music when I run, it somehow makes me feel faster"

- Part of my life is about playing music as a professional drummer, and I always feel different rhythms when I run. I like to listen to slow music when I run, it somehow makes me feel faster, says Peppe with a laugh. Sometimes I also take the fishing rod with me when I run so I can stop and take a fishing break. Adding fun and whimsical elements makes everything better.

As a true advocate of sustainable movement, Peppe doesn't just teach how to run - he also shows what Running can do for us in a larger perspective. Mindfulness and tuning the body's rhythms are central to his philosophy. He also encourages runners to leave the asphalt behind and venture into the wilderness, where the body adapts to the terrain, the mind finds clarity and the movement becomes something more than just exercise. Because Peppe is shopping Running not about racing against the clock, but about learning to move in harmony with yourself and the world around you.

We asked Peppe for three tips to do Running better (which is not necessarily the same as becoming a better runner).

1. Run without music and technical gadgets sometimes - let nature be the focus instead of pace and distance. Hear and feel your breathing.

2. Run with others! But do it for the right reason – slow down sometimes – that's when you can find running buddies for life.

3. Let running take you out into the world and discover new places. The best way to explore!
