What is special about them?
Houdini has been making functional thermal garments since the company was founded in 1993. We know what a difference 'point insulating' garments can make and the Moonwalk Shorts are a perfect example. A pair of lined shorts might not be the first thing you think of when packing for a winter adventure, but once you have them, you won't know how you got by without them. Moonwalk Shorts for Men is an upgraded version of our popular Moonwalk Shorties, now with fully circular materials and a better fit for wearing over tights or long underpants.
How do they work?
Moonwalk Shorts for Men are made in Polartec® Power Air™ Light which is a durable, stretchy and warming fleece fabric. The special construction with small air bubbles prevents microfibers from detaching from the garment and reduces shedding by 80% compared to conventional fleece. The garment has warming panels lined with PrimaLoft® Gold Active+, a light and warm synthetic lining made from 55% recycled fibers. The combination gives a light, stretchy and very comfortable garment that warms well on cold days.
When should I use them?
Moonwalk Shorts Men is the perfect layer-on-layer garment along with a pair of underwear tights under ski pants when the temperatures drop. You can also wear them over a pair of running tights for winter running. We recommend the Moonwalk Shorts to anyone who needs a little extra warmth (quite a lot of warmth actually) during any winter adventure.
This garment is recyclable and we ask that you please return it to Houdini when it is completely worn out. In this way, we can take care of the raw materials and make sure that nothing goes to waste. Recycling boxes are available at all Houdini stores and at many retailers.

Care advice
Synthetic clothing
When washing clothes made of synthetic materials, it is especially important to prevent the spread of microfibres in the water by using a laundry bag.
- Air clothes instead of washing if the clothes are not too dirty. You save water, energy and it makes the clothes last longer.
- Feel free to use a laundry bag. It protects your garments and prevents microfibers from leaking out. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure to wipe clean and dispose of lint in the bin. Never rinse the laundry bag with water as the fibers can then end up in lakes and oceans.
- Wash at a maximum of 40 degrees.
- Wash with mild environmentally certified detergents and be sure to use the correct dosage.
- Avoid fabric softener. In addition to being bad for the environment, it impairs the garment's performance, especially moisture transport and drying time.
- Tumble dry on low heat.
- Iron on low heat.

The label circular means that this product is made from either recycled and recyclable, or renewable and biodegradable materials. Most products in today's society are linear, where the earth's resources are extracted, used and then discarded. This does not work in the long run and causes enormous strain on the environment. Instead, we want to close the circle and reuse the materials we already have. But we need your help. When your Houdini products are completely worn out, return them to us through our recycling units located in all our own stores and many retailers.

The label recycled means that this garment contains at least 50% recycled fibers (often more, see product description). The source is either recycled clothing or other sources such as PET bottles. We mainly use recycled polyester, which has many advantages. It reduces both CO2 emissions and water use compared to virgin polyester. One of our suppliers shows that mechanically recycled polyester saves 32% CO2 and uses 94% less water. In addition to the footprint of production, the big difference is that we use "waste" as raw material instead of crude oil.
Recyclable
The label Recyclable means that the fabric in this product is completely recyclable. Instead of becoming waste, the material can be used to manufacture new products. Our goal is to take no material from the earth's crust into our products by 2030. Circular products, made from recycled and recyclable materials, is a big change but we need your help to make the system work. Return your Houdini garments to us when they are completely worn out. We have recycling units in all our own stores and at many retailers.
