W's Daybreak Houdi
Versatile hooded jacket for activities such as rock climbing, cycling or hiking. Thin, stretchy and durable. Completely recyclable.
Description
Easy and durable windbreaker that fits all adventures. It is made in durable and stretchy polyester fabric, perfect for hiking, rock climbing, cycling or everyday life.
Daybreak Houdi is designed to last, both when it comes to style, quality and performance. We believe the world needs better but fewer garments. The jacket is designed to work for everything from rock climbing for cycling or hiking. A combination of light weight, lighter protection against harsh weather and durable quality gives the jacket an almost infinite number of uses.
The Prime Ripstop™ polyester fabric is fully recyclable and made from 50% recycled fibres. It is thin, stretchy and very comfortable with a matte, fine surface. The fabric construction also makes the jacket very durable. The surface is PFAS free DWR (Durable Water Repellency) and will keep you dry during unexpected downpours. The jacket has two zippered side pockets, one of which also functions as a pack pocket for the jacket itself.
If you're looking for a versatile jacket to use from early spring to late autumn, we can highly recommend the Daybreak Houdi. It is recyclable and we ask that you return it to us when it is completely worn out. We have recycling stations in all our own stores as well as at many of our retailers. When we get it back, we can recycle the material and create new clothes from it. Nothing goes to waste!

Care advice
Softshell
Softshell or shell in one layer are garments with water-repellent treatment, but which do not have a membrane.
- Air clothes instead of washing if the clothes are not too dirty. You save water, energy and it makes the clothes last longer. However, if you have used the garment in salt water, if it has become really dirty or sweaty, you should wash it. Otherwise, the ventilation in the garment may deteriorate and moisture may even leak in through the dirt.
- Use a laundry bag. It is important when washing synthetic clothes as it protects your garments and prevents microfibers from leaking out. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure to wipe clean and dispose of lint in the bin. Never rinse the laundry bag with water as the fibers can then end up in lakes and oceans.
- Wash at a maximum of 40 degrees.
- Wash with mild environmentally certified detergents and be sure to use the correct dosage.
- Avoid fabric softener. In addition to being bad for the environment, it impairs the garment's performance, especially moisture transport and drying time.
- Hang dry, but add heat to the garment after washing so that the water-repellent surface of the outer fabric is reactivated. Use a heating cabinet, tumble dryer or iron, just make sure to keep an eye on the heat so the garment doesn't melt.
- You can strengthen the impregnation in the garment with a wash-in or spray that you can find in the webshop or in our stores.
sustainability
Bluesign®
The label Bluesign® means that a third party ensures that all harmful chemicals or substances are eliminated from the production process right from the start. It benefits both humans, animals and the entire planet.
circular
The label circular means that this product is made from either recycled and recyclable, or renewable and biodegradable materials. Most products in today's society are linear, where the earth's resources are extracted, used and then discarded. This does not work in the long run and causes enormous strain on the environment. Instead, we want to close the circle and reuse the materials we already have. But we need your help. When your Houdini products are completely worn out, return them to us through our recycling units located in all our own stores and many retailers.
recycled
The label recycled means that this garment contains at least 50% recycled fibers (often more, see product description). The source is either recycled clothing or other sources such as PET bottles. We mainly use recycled polyester, which has many advantages. It reduces both CO2 emissions and water use compared to virgin polyester. One of our suppliers shows that mechanically recycled polyester saves 32% CO2 and uses 94% less water. In addition to the footprint of production, the big difference is that we use "waste" as raw material instead of crude oil.
Recyclable
The label Recyclable means that the fabric in this product is completely recyclable. Instead of becoming waste, the material can be used to manufacture new products. Our goal is to take no material from the earth's crust into our products by 2030. Circular products, made from recycled and recyclable materials, is a big change but we need your help to make the system work. Return your Houdini garments to us when they are completely worn out. We have recycling units in all our own stores and at many retailers.
