How to create the perfect personal microclimate during high-tempo activities? Warmth, weight and breathability are crucial factors - and with the Pace Flow series we take a big step forward in balancing that particular equation. The warm, light and a lot breathable Pace Flow Balaclava significantly raises the level of comfort for high-intensity winter sports.
How does it work?
Pace Flow Balaclava is made of Polartec® Power Dry® Mesh, a lightweight mesh material that insulates without trapping excess heat or moisture. It is essential for a balaclava, which can easily become damp and cold from breath or sweat. When you wear Pace Flow Balaclava as the outermost layer, it lets air through and ventilates excess heat and moisture. When worn under a helmet or hood, it forms an efficient layer of warm air that provides impressive insulation – especially considering the low weight. A folding face shield makes it easy to adapt to the weather and activity level, and two wind protection panels prevent cold drafts.
When should I use it?
Pace Flow Balaclava is designed for all types of winter sports and fits perfectly under a ski, bike or climbing helmet. alpine skiing, ice climbing, cross country skiing or winter running are some suitable areas of use.
This garment is made with the future in mind, from materials suitable for recycling. When it is finally worn out, please return it to Houdini so that the raw material can be used again. In this way, we reduce the need for virgin resources, minimize environmental impact and limit waste streams.

Care advice
Synthetic clothing
When washing clothes made of synthetic materials, it is especially important to prevent the spread of microfibres in the water by using a laundry bag.
- Air clothes instead of washing if the clothes are not too dirty. You save water, energy and it makes the clothes last longer.
- Feel free to use a laundry bag. It protects your garments and prevents microfibers from leaking out. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure to wipe clean and dispose of lint in the bin. Never rinse the laundry bag with water as the fibers can then end up in lakes and oceans.
- Wash at a maximum of 40 degrees.
- Wash with mild environmentally certified detergents and be sure to use the correct dosage.
- Avoid fabric softener. In addition to being bad for the environment, it impairs the garment's performance, especially moisture transport and drying time.
- Tumble dry on low heat.
- Iron on low heat.

This product is fully circular, meaning it is made from either recycled and recyclable or renewable and biodegradable materials. Most products in today's society are linear, where the earth's resources are extracted, used and then discarded. This does not work in the long run and causes enormous strain on the environment. Instead, we want to close the circle and reuse the materials we already have. But we need your help. When your Houdini products are completely worn out, return them to us through our recycling units located in all our own stores and many retailers.
Recyclable
The label Recyclable means that the fabric in this product is completely recyclable. Instead of becoming waste, the material can be used to manufacture new products. Our goal is to take no material from the earth's crust into our products by 2030. Circular products, made from recycled and recyclable materials, is a big change but we need your help to make the system work. Return your Houdini garments to us when they are completely worn out. We have recycling units in all our own stores and at many retailers.
