Description
What makes it special?
Heyday is our most distinctive alpine shell jacket with everything you need in such a garment. It has 100% circular design and incredible performance that works in harmony with your every move on your most challenging adventures. With the Heyday, Houdini's design team has created a shell jacket that really lets you test your limits and get the most out of your adventure in the mountains. The Heyday Jacket is 3D-shaped with Made to Move technology that follows your movements when hiking in the mountains or skiing off-piste.
How does it work?
The Heyday Jacket is a fully equipped and incredible durable shell jacket that hides in a minimalist shape with a soft, supple and quiet feel. The material is different from most other shell jackets – Heyday is stretchy, soft and quiet, allowing you to hear the nature around you without having to hear rustling fabric.
The Heyday Jacket has double breast pockets and under the durable surface hide two pockets where you can store your valuables. The hood that can be adjusted with one hand and worn over a helmet in combination with welded and sealed seams protects you from all weather. The Heyday features a water-resistant zip, a laminated brim and an extended storm flap at the front. A removable snowgaiter keeps you dry on really snowy days.
Heyday is PFAS free, circular and made from recycled and recyclable fibers.
When should I use it?
Carry it on rock climbing, hiking or skiing. Even if you are not a professional mountaineer who spends 300 days a year in the mountains, you will benefit from this jacket that does not set any limits for your adventures or active everyday life.
You won't wear out this incredibly durable jacket at first, but if you finally do — don't throw it away. The Heyday Jacket is made from recycled and recyclable fibres. The raw materials are valuable and can be reused. Take it to a Houdini store or one of our retailers that has a Houdini recycling unit.

Care advice
Shell jackets with membrane
- Air clothes instead of washing if the clothes are not too dirty. You save water, energy and it makes the clothes last longer. However, if you have used the garment in salt water, if it has become really dirty or sweaty, you should wash it. Otherwise, the ventilation in the garment may deteriorate and moisture may even leak in through the dirt.
- Use one laundry bag. It is important when washing synthetic clothes as it protects your garments and prevents microfibers from leaking out. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure to wipe clean and dispose of lint in the bin. Never rinse the laundry bag with water as the fibers can then end up in lakes and oceans.
- Wash at a maximum of 40 degrees.
- There are special detergents for shell layers, but it usually works just as well with the most common varieties. Choose mild environmentally certified detergents and make sure you use the right dose.
- Avoid fabric softener. In addition to being bad for the environment, it impairs the garment's performance, especially moisture transport and drying time.
- Hang dry, but add heat to the garment after washing so that the water-repellent surface of the outer fabric is reactivated. Use a heating cabinet, tumble dryer or iron, just make sure to keep an eye on the heat so the garment doesn't melt.
- You can strengthen the impregnation in the garment with a wash-in or spray that you can find in the webshop or in our stores. "
sustainability
circular
The marking circular means that this product is made from either recycled and recyclable or renewable and biodegradable fibres. Most products in today's society are manufactured according to a linear life cycle where the earth's resources are extracted, used and then thrown away. It does not work in the long run and has a major environmental impact. Instead, we want to close the circle and reuse materials we already have. But we need your help. When your Houdini garments are completely worn out, please return them to us via the recycling stations in our stores or at many of our retailers.
recycled
The marking recycled means that this garment contains at least 50% recycled fibers (often more, see product description). The source is either recycled clothing or other materials such as PET bottles. We mainly use recycled polyester, which has many advantages. It reduces both carbon dioxide emissions and water consumption compared to newly produced polyester. How much it reduces depends on the type of recycling. One of our suppliers shows 32% less carbon emissions and 94% less water use for mechanical recycled polyester. In addition to the production gain, the big change is that we use "waste" as raw material instead of fossil oil.
Recyclable
The label Recyclable means that the raw material in this product can be used to create new products instead of becoming waste. Our goal is that by 2030 at the latest, we shall not use any raw materials from the earth's interior for our products. Circular products, made from recycled and recyclable materials, are a real step forward - but for the system to work, we need your help. When your Houdini garments are completely worn out, please return them to us. We have recycling stations in all our own stores and at many retailers.
