Description
When the Houdini design team developed the Men's Rollercoaster Jacket, the goal was to elevate the experience and feeling of wearing a shell jacket. To achieve a feeling of full freedom of movement, we had to go beyond the basic principles of garment cutting. Instead, the design is based on our Made-to-Move draping technique, where the garment is designed from a single piece of fabric on a body in motion. Combined with the stretchy, silent and smooth fabric Loop Hardshell™, you get a top level performance jacket that feels like a dream to wear.
Men's Rollercoaster Jacket is made in a slightly longer fit with a backdrop for extra weather protection and an integrated snowskirt will keep you dry when you tomahawk on a powder run. Two angled vent zippers under your arms keeps you cool without getting in the way of backpack straps. The generous hood with double adjustments will keep you sheltered in any storm, goes over a helmet and can be operated with a single glove-clad hand. When it comes to pockets, you have two roomy hand pockets, one outside chest pocket and one inside. All seams are taped and all zippers water resistant.

Loop Hardshell™
A durable fabric with mechanical stretch for high comfort. Strong and quiet material with a matte and smooth exterior. Waterproof, very good breathability and durability.

Membrane: Atmos™
Atmos™ Membrane is one hydrophilic membrane, not microporous, and at the molecular level the moisture moves through the fabrics. The more moisture there is in circulation, the greater the ability of the membrane to move moisture away from the body. With Atmos, we are confident that we have a membrane that delivers Houdini standards of high performance in an environmentally sustainable way, which no other membrane on the market can live up to. Atmos™ membrane is made of recyclable polyester and free of PFAS.

Care advice
Shell jackets with membrane
- Air clothes instead of washing if the clothes are not too dirty. You save water, energy and it makes the clothes last longer. However, if you have used the garment in salt water, if it has become really dirty or sweaty, you should wash it. Otherwise, the ventilation in the garment may deteriorate and moisture may even leak in through the dirt.
- Use one laundry bag. It is important when washing synthetic clothes as it protects your garments and prevents microfibers from leaking out. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure to wipe clean and dispose of lint in the bin. Never rinse the laundry bag with water as the fibers can then end up in lakes and oceans.
- Wash at a maximum of 40 degrees.
- There are special detergents for shell layers, but it usually works just as well with the most common varieties. Choose mild environmentally certified detergents and make sure you use the right dose.
- Avoid fabric softener. In addition to being bad for the environment, it impairs the garment's performance, especially moisture transport and drying time.
- Hang dry, but add heat to the garment after washing so that the water-repellent surface of the outer fabric is reactivated. Use a heating cabinet, tumble dryer or iron, just make sure to keep an eye on the heat so the garment doesn't melt.
- You can strengthen the impregnation in the garment with a wash-in or spray that you can find in the webshop or in our stores.

This product is completely circular, which means it is made from either recycled and recyclable or renewable and biodegradable materials. Most products in today's society are linear, where the earth's resources are extracted, used and then discarded. This does not work in the long run and causes enormous strain on the environment. Instead, we want to close the circle and reuse the materials we already have. But we need your help. When your Houdini products are completely worn out, return them to us through our recycling units located in all our own stores and many retailers.

The label recycled means that this garment contains at least 50% recycled fibers (often more, see product description). The source is either recycled clothing or other sources such as PET bottles. We mainly use recycled polyester, which has many advantages. It reduces both CO2 emissions and water use compared to virgin polyester. One of our suppliers shows that mechanically recycled polyester saves 32% CO2 and uses 94% less water. In addition to the footprint of production, the big difference is that we use "waste" as raw material instead of crude oil.
Recyclable
The label Recyclable means that the fabric in this product is completely recyclable. Instead of becoming waste, the material can be used to manufacture new products. Our goal is to take no material from the earth's crust into our products by 2030. Circular products, made from recycled and recyclable materials, is a big change but we need your help to make the system work. Return your Houdini garments to us when they are completely worn out. We have recycling units in all our own stores and at many retailers.
