Description
What makes it special?
This technical men's vest brings a new level of comfort to high-paced activities in alpine environments. The Moonwalk Vest's hybrid design (a combination of different fabrics with different properties) is the perfect compromise between weather protection, weight, warmth and breathability. We know the word compromise doesn't bring much joy, but in this case, a well-balanced compromise is the whole point. Never too hot, never too cold, never heavy.
How does it work?
The Men's Moonwalk Vest consists of two main fabrics: Polartec® Power Air™ Active and C9 Ripstop. Power Air is a warm, stretchy and comfortable stretch fleece with a smooth surface, perfect for layer upon layer. The front and shoulders of the vest are reinforced with C9 Ripstop, an ultralight wind-resistant fabric that doesn't feel bulky or weigh you down. Two neatly integrated side pockets keep your belongings in place.
When should I use it?
The Men's Moonwalk Vest is designed for high-intensity activities in demanding conditions. ski tours, mountaineering, rock climbing or hiking at a high pace are some examples, but the fine balance between warmth and breathability makes the garment a good companion all year round. Wear it by itself or as part of a layer-on-layer system.
Do not throw this garment away when it is worn out. The materials are completely circular and can be recycled for use in new products. Take it to a Houdini store or dealer that has a Houdini recycling unit.

Care advice
base layer, base garment and fleece
When washing clothes made of synthetic materials, it is especially important to prevent the spread of microfibres in the water by using a laundry bag.
- Air clothes instead of washing if the clothes are not too dirty. You save water, energy and it makes the clothes last longer.
- Feel free to use a laundry bag. It protects your garments and prevents microfibers from leaking out. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure to wipe clean and dispose of lint in the bin. Never rinse the laundry bag with water as the fibers can then end up in lakes and oceans.
- Wash at a maximum of 40 degrees.
- Wash with mild environmentally certified detergents and be sure to use the correct dosage.
- Avoid fabric softener. In addition to being bad for the environment, it impairs the garment's performance, especially moisture transport and drying time.
- Do not tumble dry, it wears out both the clothes and the environment unnecessarily. Most synthetic garments dry quickly anyway.
- Hang dry.

Bluesign®
The label Bluesign® means that a third party ensures that all harmful chemicals or substances are eliminated from the production process right from the start. It benefits both humans, animals and the entire planet.
circular
The label circular means that this product is made from either recycled and recyclable, or renewable and biodegradable materials. Most products in today's society are linear, where the earth's resources are extracted, used and then discarded. This does not work in the long run and causes enormous strain on the environment. Instead, we want to close the circle and reuse the materials we already have. But we need your help. When your Houdini products are completely worn out, return them to us through our recycling units located in all our own stores and many retailers.
recycled
The label recycled means that this garment contains at least 50% recycled fibers (often more, see product description). The source is either recycled clothing or other sources such as PET bottles. We mainly use recycled polyester, which has many advantages. It reduces both CO2 emissions and water use compared to virgin polyester. One of our suppliers shows that mechanically recycled polyester saves 32% CO2 and uses 94% less water. In addition to the footprint of production, the big difference is that we use "waste" as raw material instead of crude oil.
Recyclable
The label Recyclable means that the fabric in this product is completely recyclable. Instead of becoming waste, the material can be used to manufacture new products. Our goal is to take no material from the earth's crust into our products by 2030. Circular products, made from recycled and recyclable materials, is a big change but we need your help to make the system work. Return your Houdini garments to us when they are completely worn out. We have recycling units in all our own stores and at many retailers.
