The Lykan series is definitely one such case. The ultra-light, stretchy material takes both comfort and performance to the next level, molds to your movements and truly feels like an extension of the body.
How does it work?
The Men's Lykan Half Zip is knitted with a unique, textured yarn that creates an extremely soft, light and stretchy material with fuzzy texture. Details such as cuffs and collar are integrated into the garment instead of being sewn on, which improves both comfort and sustainability. The light, airy and super soft material is ideal for insulation during high-intensity activities. It offers a level of breathability, warmth-to-weight ratio and comfort that traditional insulation garments cannot match. The material has a high moisture transport capacity and can be worn directly against the skin as a first layer or as a warming second layer. The open, airy structure effectively insulates when you have a protective outer layer on top, but immediately releases excess heat and moisture when you open up for ventilation.
This type of knitting basically generates no waste – we don't cut any fabric. The yarn is made from recycled and recyclable polyester, which makes the whole garment circular. Here, performance and sustainable innovation go hand in hand.
When should I use it?
Men's Lykan Half Zip is perfect for high-intensity activities in cold weather: Peak tours, hiking, Running or other type of outdoor training. The superior breathability keeps you warm without overheating, and the stretchy construction allows total freedom of movement. Cuffs and collar have a slightly thicker rib knit that provides extra warmth where you need it most.

Care advice
Synthetic clothing
When washing clothes made of synthetic materials, it is especially important to prevent the spread of microfibres in the water by using a laundry bag.
- Air clothes instead of washing if the clothes are not too dirty. You save water, energy and it makes the clothes last longer.
- Feel free to use a laundry bag. It protects your garments and prevents microfibers from leaking out. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure to wipe clean and dispose of lint in the bin. Never rinse the laundry bag with water as the fibers can then end up in lakes and oceans.
- Wash at a maximum of 40 degrees.
- Wash with mild environmentally certified detergents and be sure to use the correct dosage.
- Avoid fabric softener. In addition to being bad for the environment, it impairs the garment's performance, especially moisture transport and drying time.
- Tumble dry on low heat.
- Iron on low heat.

The marking recycled means that this garment contains at least 50% recycled fibers (often more - see product description). The source is either recycled clothing or other materials such as PET bottles. We mainly use recycled polyester, which has many advantages. It reduces both carbon dioxide emissions and water use compared to newly produced polyester. How much it reduces depends on the type of recycling. One of our suppliers shows 32% lower CO₂ emissions and 94% less water consumption when mechanically recycling polyester. Apart from the production advantage, the biggest change is that we use "waste" as raw material instead of fossil oil.
Recyclable
The label Recyclable means that the raw material in this product can be used to create new products, instead of becoming waste. Our goal is that by 2030 at the latest, we shall not use any raw materials from the earth's interior for our products. Circular products – made from recycled and recyclable materials – are truly groundbreaking, but we need your help to make the system work. When your Houdini garments are completely worn out, please return them to us. We have recycling stations in all our own stores and at many retailers.
