W's The Orange Pants
Extremely light and highly packable waterproof shell pants that keep you protected in all weathers but still take up no more space than an orange in your pack.
Description
What makes it special?
In the early stages of development, this garment was nicknamed The Orange. Why? Because the mission to our design team was to create a completely waterproof, packable shell layers which is no larger than an orange when packed. The idea is that you should always be able to fit these pants in your backpack and be prepared for any unexpected weather changes. Complete weather protection in an incredibly light and compact form - The Orange Pants.
How do they work?
From a layer-on-layer perspective, the idea of The Orange Pants for women is actually to allow you to wear other pieces more often. Here's the thing: If you're going for a run, hike, ski trip, or long climb, waterproof pants are rarely the most comfortable option (usually you want to maximize breathability). But you should still never head out without a pair of them in unpredictable weather. That's why we designed a pair of fully waterproof shell pants that you can take with you without a problem and always be prepared in case of bad weather. And if the need arises, the ultra-light, smooth and quiet fabric makes the garment extremely comfortable to wear.
What functions do they have?
Women's The Orange Pants are minimalist to save weight and space. We haven't added any extras other than the essentials: Adjustable waist and legs and zippers at the bottom of the leg. The main function of the garment is the concept itself and how it feels to wear it. These are no ordinary shell pants, but a whole new kind of ultra-light garment that you hardly feel you're wearing but that keeps you dry in any storm.
When should I use them?
Women's The Orange Pants are designed for mountain sports where weight and packability are crucial: Running, top tours or mountaineering. When you have them in your pack, you won't even notice they're there, and in harsh weather they'll keep you dry and warm. Of course, they also work as super light and comfortable rain pants for all those times when you're not running in the mountains.

Care advice
Shell pants with membrane
- Air clothes instead of washing if the clothes are not too dirty. You save water, energy and it makes the clothes last longer. However, if you have used the garment in salt water, if it has become really dirty or sweaty, you should wash it. Otherwise, the ventilation in the garment may deteriorate and moisture may even leak in through the dirt.
- Use one laundry bag. It is important when washing synthetic clothes as it protects your garments and prevents microfibers from leaking out. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure to wipe clean and dispose of lint in the bin. Never rinse the laundry bag with water as the fibers can then end up in lakes and oceans.
- Wash at a maximum of 40 degrees.
- There are special detergents for shell layers, but it usually works just as well with the most common varieties. Choose mild environmentally certified detergents and make sure you use the right dose.
- Avoid fabric softener. In addition to being bad for the environment, it impairs the garment's performance, especially moisture transport and drying time.
- Hang dry, but add heat to the garment after washing so that the water-repellent surface of the outer fabric is reactivated. Use a heating cabinet, tumble dryer or iron, just make sure to keep an eye on the heat so the garment doesn't melt.
- You can strengthen the impregnation in the garment with a wash-in or spray that you can find in the webshop or in our stores.
