Description
What makes them special?
Groundbreaking performance combined with minimalist and timeless aesthetics – it's a classic Houdini recipe and Ride Insulated Pants is no exception. These pants offer a perfect combination of effective weather protection and outstanding comfort. Skiing, snowboarding or everyday life in the mountains - Ride Insulated Pants keep you warm throughout the winter adventure.
How do they work?
Women's Ride Insulated Pants are made of the light, strong and flexible material Flow 2L Hardshell and lined with Primaloft® Silver Hiloft Ultra. The outer material is a 2-layer circular shell fabric that is completely waterproof and breathable. Together with the warm, light and airy lining in 40 g Primaloft®, a material combination is created that perfectly balances warmth, weather protection and freedom of movement. You are completely protected from cold and wet, without feeling heavy or restricting movement.
The Women's Ride Insulated Pants are equipped with all the features required for alpine adventures: Integrated snowgaiter at the leg ends, ventilation zippers, reinforcements on the inside of the leg ends, leg pockets with zipper and internal mobile phone pocket and adjustment at the waist and leg ends for an optimal fit. The garment is also designed to minimize its impact on nature: The fabric and lining are made from recycled and recyclable fibers and the trousers are completely free of PFAS.
When should I use them?
Women's Ride Insulated Pants are primarily designed for alpine skiing and snowboarding, but also work great for other cold weather winter activities. The lining is carefully balanced to provide good warmth without overheating you during activity.
This garment is made with the future in mind, from materials suitable for recycling. When it is finally worn out, please return it to Houdini so that the raw material can be used again. In this way, we reduce the need for virgin resources, minimize environmental impact and limit waste streams.

Care advice
Shell pants with membrane
- Air clothes instead of washing if the clothes are not too dirty. You save water, energy and it makes the clothes last longer. However, if you have used the garment in salt water, if it has become really dirty or sweaty, you should wash it. Otherwise, the ventilation in the garment may deteriorate and moisture may even leak in through the dirt.
- Use one laundry bag. It is important when washing synthetic clothes as it protects your garments and prevents microfibers from leaking out. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure to wipe clean and dispose of lint in the bin. Never rinse the laundry bag with water as the fibers can then end up in lakes and oceans.
- Wash at a maximum of 40 degrees.
- There are special detergents for shell layers, but it usually works just as well with the most common varieties. Choose mild environmentally certified detergents and make sure you use the right dose.
- Avoid fabric softener. In addition to being bad for the environment, it impairs the garment's performance, especially moisture transport and drying time.
- Hang dry, but add heat to the garment after washing so that the water-repellent surface of the outer fabric is reactivated. Use a heating cabinet, tumble dryer or iron, just make sure to keep an eye on the heat so the garment doesn't melt.
- You can strengthen the impregnation in the garment with a wash-in or spray that you can find in the webshop or in our stores. "
sustainability
recycled
The marking recycled means that this garment contains at least 50% recycled fibers (often more - see product description). The source is either recycled clothing or other materials such as PET bottles. We mainly use recycled polyester, which has many advantages. It reduces both carbon dioxide emissions and water use compared to newly produced polyester. How much it reduces depends on the type of recycling. One of our suppliers shows 32% lower CO₂ emissions and 94% less water consumption when mechanically recycling polyester. Apart from the production advantage, the biggest change is that we use "waste" as raw material instead of fossil oil.
Recyclable
The label Recyclable means that the raw material in this product can be used to create new products, instead of becoming waste. Our goal is that by 2030 at the latest, we shall not use any raw materials from the earth's interior for our products. Circular products – made from recycled and recyclable materials – are truly groundbreaking, but we need your help to make the system work. When your Houdini garments are completely worn out, please return them to us. We have recycling stations in all our own stores and at many retailers.
