Description
Staying warm has never been more comfortable. Fall In Parka is a surprisingly light parka with waterproof outer fabric and lining in Primaloft. A classic, long parka with a generous storm hood, which protects you against challenging weather.
Fall In Parka is Houdini's interpretation of a classic lined parka. But what is the difference? Mainly the quiet, soft and light materials are noticeable, which increase the feeling of comfort in the garment. The choice of materials minimizes the product's environmental impact, as they are both recycled and recyclable, and free of PFAS. An upgrade that gives you the cozy protection of a classic parka, but with a significantly smoother and softer feel.
The Fall In Parka is lined with Primaloft® Silver Insulation Hi-Loft Ultra. An insulating material with a high warmth factor and excellent breathability. Synthetic is a given choice to avoid the down industry, and to ensure that no birds are harmed in production. Primaloft® also works significantly better in humid conditions. The lining is made from recycled fibres, and is completely recyclable.
The outer fabric in the Fall In Parka is called Spheric 2-layer Hardshell, and is made of recycled polyester topped with Houdini's proven membrane Atmos. Atmos is one hydrophilic polyester membrane that is completely free of PFAS both in the membrane and in the water-repellent impregnation (DWR).
For those of you looking for a personal cocoon to crawl into over the winter - go ahead! Most of Houdini's customers use the Fall In Parka for everyday use, but it also works great if you need a warmer jacket for skiing or snowboarding.
The product is recyclable, and can be advantageously returned to Houdini when it is completely worn out.

Care advice
Synthetic clothing
When washing clothes made of synthetic materials, it is especially important to prevent the spread of microfibres in the water by using a laundry bag.
- Air clothes instead of washing if the clothes are not too dirty. You save water, energy and it makes the clothes last longer.
- Feel free to use a laundry bag. It protects your garments and prevents microfibers from leaking out. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure to wipe clean and dispose of lint in the bin. Never rinse the laundry bag with water as the fibers can then end up in lakes and oceans.
- Wash with a gentle program at a maximum of 30 degrees.
- Wash with mild environmentally certified detergents and be sure to use the correct dosage.
- Avoid fabric softener. In addition to being bad for the environment, it impairs the garment's performance, especially moisture transport and drying time.
- Tumble dry on low heat.
- Iron on low heat.

The label circular means that this product is made from either recycled and recyclable, or renewable and biodegradable materials. Most products in today's society are linear, where the earth's resources are extracted, used and then discarded. This does not work in the long run and causes enormous strain on the environment. Instead, we want to close the circle and reuse the materials we already have. But we need your help. When your Houdini products are completely worn out, return them to us through our recycling units located in all our own stores and many retailers.

The label recycled means that this garment contains at least 50% recycled fibers (often more, see product description). The source is either recycled clothing or other sources such as PET bottles. We mainly use recycled polyester, which has many advantages. It reduces both CO2 emissions and water use compared to virgin polyester. One of our suppliers shows that mechanically recycled polyester saves 32% CO2 and uses 94% less water. In addition to the footprint of production, the big difference is that we use "waste" as raw material instead of crude oil.
Recyclable
The label Recyclable means that the fabric in this product is completely recyclable. Instead of becoming waste, the material can be used to manufacture new products. Our goal is to take no material from the earth's crust into our products by 2030. Circular products, made from recycled and recyclable materials, is a big change but we need your help to make the system work. Return your Houdini garments to us when they are completely worn out. We have recycling units in all our own stores and at many retailers.
