Description
What makes it special?
Houdini's design team felt they were missing a product for those activities where a standard baseball cap would be too heavy or bulky. They found the perfect lightweight fabric and created C9 Cap: One cap that keeps your head dry, cool and in the shade without you even noticing you're wearing it.
How does it work?
C9 Cap is made of C9 Ripstop, an ultra-light, cool and highly breathable fabric. The material consists of 100% recycled and recyclable polyester that eliminates all waste. It has been treated with a bio-based water-repellent impregnation that is free of PFAS and other toxic chemicals. Despite the light fabric, this one is cap both wind and water resistant. It dries very quickly and protects you from direct sunlight.
When to use it?
Are you looking for a versatile hat to protect your head from the sun during water sports or other high-intensity activities? The Liquid Light Cap is the answer and the durable design ensures you can feel comfortable for years to come. It is perfect for Running, hiking, kayaking or beach volleyball. Tighten properly and you can even use it while surfing.
C9 Cap is made from recycled and recyclable fibers and we would very much like you to send it back to us when it is completely worn out. We have recycling facilities in all our own stores and at many retailers.

Care advice
Synthetic clothing
When washing clothes made of synthetic materials, it is especially important to prevent the spread of microfibres in the water by using a laundry bag.
- Air clothes instead of washing if the clothes are not too dirty. You save water, energy and it makes the clothes last longer.
- Feel free to use a laundry bag. It protects your garments and prevents microfibers from leaking out. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure to wipe clean and dispose of lint in the bin. Never rinse the laundry bag with water as the fibers can then end up in lakes and oceans.
- Wash at a maximum of 30 degrees.
- Wash with mild environmentally certified detergents and be sure to use the correct dosage.
- Avoid fabric softener. In addition to being bad for the environment, it impairs the garment's performance, especially moisture transport and drying time.
- Tumble dry on low heat.
- Iron on low heat.

circular
This product is completely circular, which means it is made from either recycled and recyclable or renewable and biodegradable materials. Most products in today's society are linear, where the earth's resources are extracted, used and then discarded. This does not work in the long run and causes enormous strain on the environment. Instead, we want to close the circle and reuse the materials we already have. But we need your help. When your Houdini products are completely worn out, return them to us through our recycling units located in all our own stores and many retailers.

The label recycled means that this garment contains at least 50% recycled fibers (often more, see product description). The source is either recycled clothing or other sources such as PET bottles. We mainly use recycled polyester, which has many advantages. It reduces both CO2 emissions and water use compared to virgin polyester. One of our suppliers shows that mechanically recycled polyester saves 32% CO2 and uses 94% less water. In addition to the footprint of production, the big difference is that we use "waste" as raw material instead of crude oil.
Recyclable
The label Recyclable means that the fabric in this product is completely recyclable. Instead of becoming waste, the material can be used to manufacture new products. Our goal is to take no material from the earth's crust into our products by 2030. Circular products, made from recycled and recyclable materials, is a big change but we need your help to make the system work. Return your Houdini garments to us when they are completely worn out. We have recycling units in all our own stores and at many retailers.
