Men's Alpine Tech Houdi is our fully featured softshell jacket designed to handle rough conditions and all kinds of demanding adventures. It is stretchy and soft on the skin, yet durable and tough enough for any weather and activity.

How does it work?
Men's Alpine Tech Houdi is made with Spectrum Softshell, one of our toughest fabrics that expertly balances high weather protection without losing breathability or comfort. The open filament fibers on the inside of the fabric makes the garment perfect to wear both with a base layer or next to skin.

Men’s Alpine Tech Houdi is equipped with 2 zippered hand pockets and 2 large zippered chest pockets to keep all your gear safely in place. The pocket bags also work as inside stash pockets. A 2-way front zipper lets you easily control body temperature and ensure freedom of movement. The hood and bottom hem has drawcord adjustments and the sleeve endings have velcro adjustments for perfect fit over gloves.

When should I use it?
Men’s Alpine Tech Houdi is a fully equipped and durable softshell jacket designed to handle rough conditions and demanding activities. Use it for adventures in harsh alpine environments: Trekking, climbing and mountaineering.

Dark colors may fade over time, depending on exposure to sunlight, number of washes and wear from use. This is completely normal with this kind of monomaterial stretch fabric.

The garment is completely recyclable and we kindly ask you to return it to us when it’s completely worn out. Nothing goes to waste and we can make new products from the raw material. We have recycling units in all our own stores and at many retailers.

Materials and technology

Softshell fabric with a smooth, durable face and a backer with open filament fibers, creating a light insulation that never hinder breathability. The face breaks the wind and is treated with a water repellency finish engineered without PFAS.

Care instructions

Softshell

Softshell or single layer shells are garments with a water repellent surface, but without a membrane.

Air clothes instead of washing and wash only when needed. Do make sure to wash your shell if it has been used in salt water or has gotten very sweaty or dirty as this weakens the performance of the garment. They can reduce the fabric's breathability and damage the water repellent surface. The dirt can even allow for moisture to leak though the fabric.
Use a washing bag to protect your garments and to prevent fibers from leaking. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure to wipe it clean and throw the lint in your trash can. Never rinse it in water since we don't want the fibers to end up in lakes or oceans.
Machine wash cold.
Use mild mild detergents and make sure to use the right dose.
Avoid fabric softener, as it can reduce moisture transport and breathability.
Hang dry. Just remember to introduce heat to the garment after washing to reactivate the water resistant surface of the outer fabric. Use a drying cabinet, dryer or iron. Make sure you monitor the heat so the garment does not melt.
You can reapply or enforce the water repellent treatment with a wash-in or spray when needed. Always use an water-repellent treatment intended for the garment: You can find both a spray and a wash-in in the webshop or in our stores.
