It has a level of breathability, warmth-to-weight ratio and comfort that traditional insulation garments simply cannot compete with. It is highly moisture wicking and can be worn both as a first layer next to skin or as a second, thermal layer. The open, lofty and airy structure provides great insulation when you wear a protective layer over it, and instantly allows excess heat and moisture out when you open up to ventilate.
