M's Moonwalk Vest

What makes it special?
This technical men's mid-layer vest brings a new level of comfort to high pace activities in alpine environments. The hybrid design of Moonwalk Vest (a combination of different fabrics with different attributes) is the perfect compromise between weather protection, weight, warmth and breathability. We know, compromise is not a word that sparks spontaneous joy, but in this case a well balanced compromise is the whole point. Never too hot, never too cold, never weighed down.

How does it work?
Men's Moonwalk Vest is composed of two main fabrics: Polartec® Power Air™ Active and C9 Ripstop. Power Air is a warm, stretchy and comfy stretch fleece with a smooth surface, perfect for layering. The front and shoulders of the vest is reinforced with C9 Ripstop, an ultra light wind resistant fabric that doesn’t bulk or weigh you down. Two nicely integrated side pockets will keep your belongings in place.

When should I use it?
Men's Moonwalk Vest is designed for high intensity activities in demanding conditions. Ski touring, mountaineering, climbing or fast pace hiking are a few examples, but the fine balance between warmth and breathability makes the garment a great companion all year around. Wear it on its own or as a part of a layering system.

Please don’t throw this garment away when it’s worn out. The materials are fully circular and can be recycled for use in new products. Please return it to Houdini or a Houdini retailer that has a Houdini recycling unit.

A new light fabric construction where fibers that trap warm air is encapsulated in small pockets. This creates a wonderfully warm and breathable construction that shed a fraction of the microplastic compared to a normal fleece material. Light, warming and perfect for activity.

Detail fabric: C9 Ripstop™

Ultralight yet durable woven fabric with fantastic breathability and next-to-skin comfort. A well tested classic Houdini-fabric that we use in many different garments.

Base layers, everyday garments and fleece made of synthetic fabrics

When washing clothes made of synthetic fabrics, the use of a washing bag becomes even more important: It prevents microplastics from entering into rivers and oceans.

• Air clothes instead of washing to save water, energy and to make the garments last longer.
• Use a washing bag to protect your garments and to prevent fibers from leaking. When cleaning the bag and filter in the machine, make sure to wipe it clean and throw the lint in your trash can. Never rinse it in water since we don’t want the fibers to end up in lakes or oceans.
• Machine wash cold.
• Use mild environmentally certified detergents and make sure to use the right dose.
• Avoid fabric softener. Besides being harmful for our environment, they have a negative impact on the garment performance, mainly moisture transportation and breathability.
• Do not dry in dryer. This exposes both the garment and the environment to unnecessary wear and tear. Most polyester garments dry quickly anyway.
• Hang dry.

Bluesign®

The Bluesign® Label means that the production is vetted by a third party to eliminate any harmful chemicals or substances right from the beginning of the production process. This benefits both people, animals and our entire planet.

Circular

The Circular label means that this product is made either from recycled and recyclable or renewable and biodegradable fibers. Most products in today's society are made in a linear lifecycle, where earth's resources are extracted, used and then discarded. This is not working in the long run and comes at a great environmental impact. Instead, we want to close the loop and reuse the material we already have. But we need your help. When your Houdini garments are completely worn out, please return them to us through the recycling units we have in all our own stores and at many retailers.

Recycled

The Recycled label means that this garment contains at least 50% recycled fibers (often more, see product description). The source is either recycled clothes or other sources like PET bottles. We mainly use recycled polyester, which has many benefits. It reduces both CO2 emissions and water use compared to virgin polyester. How much depends on the type of recycling. One of our suppliers show 32% less CO2 emissions and 94% less water use for mechanically recycled polyester. Besides the production impact, the major shift is using "waste" as raw material instead of crude oil.

Recyclable

The Recyclable label means that the raw material in this product can be used for new products, instead of becoming waste. Our goal is that by 2030, we will take no raw material to our products from the earth's crust. Circular products, made from reycled and recyclable materials are a real game changer, but we need your help for the system to work. When your Houdini garments are completely worn out, please return them to us. We have recycle units in all of our own stores and at many retailers.

We offer free shipping for orders above 100 EUR. For orders below we will add a shipping cost of 4.50 EUR. 

No Taxes or Duties: Your order is not subject to import taxes when buying online with us. What you see in checkout on our website is what you will pay.

Our delivery times are 2-5 days within Europe. All orders are processed at our distribution center in Stockholm, Sweden.
