When we entered the project together with Polartec to create the next generation fleece we had a clear intention: To address the problem with microplastics and at the same time increase performance. Power Air is created with an entirely new knitting structure, where the fibers that isolate the most are trapped in small pockets. The result is a wonderfully warm and breathable garment that shed up to five times less microfibers compared to normal premium quality fleece.

The fabric is Bluesign® certified and made from 54% recycled polyester

The fabric is also Bluesign® certified and made from 54% recycled polyester which means that it does not only prevent plastic waste but is actually made from it. 

The fight against microplastics

Synthetic fabrics have many benefits. They are extremely durable, light and doesn’t absorb water. But they are also one of many sources to microplastic pollution in our waters and therefore we decided to contribute to solving this problem. The revolutionary fabric Power Air from Polartec sheds up to five times less fibers compared to conventional high quality fleece.
