Description

Stay warm and protect your face with the Activist Balaclava. A mix of super fine merino wool and Tencel provides a warm and moisture wicking product with an incredibly soft touch against the skin. Perfect for alpine skiing.

  • Natural performance in a timeless design, that’s the concept behind Activist Balaclava. Our Activist Treemerino fabric is made from 75% merino wool 20µm and 25% Tencel, a cellulose fiber. It’s incredibly soft against the skin and moisture wicking. The balaclava has an overlapping design to give an optimal fit. Works perfectly during a ski or climb or under a bicycle helmet.
  • Maybe you’re a supermodel and depend on your skin to make a living. Maybe you just want to stay warm during those blistering days in the ski slopes. Either way, we can highly recommend the Activist Balaclava.
  • Please don’t throw away this garment when it’s worn out. Activist Balaclava is made from renewable and biodegradable fibers. The raw materials are valuable and can be used again through recycling or composting. Bring it back to a Houdini shop or one of our retailers that has a Houdini recycling unit.

Care instructions

Wool material

Wool naturally resists odors and dirt, so the garment may not need to be washed after every use. Air the garment between uses and wash only when needed.

  • Use a washing bag to protect the garment.
  • Machine wash on a gentle or wool program at a maximum of 30°C.
  • Use a wool detergent and follow the recommended dosage. If unavailable, choose a mild detergent with a neutral pH and no enzymes.
  • Avoid bleach, alkaline products and enzymes such as protease or amylase, as they can damage wool fibers. This also applies to silk.
  • Avoid fabric softener, as it can reduce moisture management and breathability.
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Reshape after washing and lay flat to dry.
  • Store wool garments folded rather than on a hanger to help retain their shape.
Sustainability
· Mulesing-free, traceable wool from Australia. · EU Ecolabel certified TENCEL™ Lyocell. · Main fabric made with renewable and biodegradable merino wool and TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers. · Designed for disassembly and recycling. Our design teams work to make informed choices for each garment, balancing longevity with lower-impact materials and circular design principles – without ever sacrificing the technical performance that our users expect and rely on.
