In May, we took some friends to explore the northernmost part of our Scandinavian homelands. The result was a photo project about disconnecting from the noise of everyday life and re-establishing the connection to the wild and untouched.
The Nordic common right gives us the freedom to move through an ancient landscape, shaped by time and ice. The freedom to run where our feet want to take us, to set up camp when our legs are tired.
The dizzying feeling of being part of something bigger than ourselves goes hand in hand with a sense of responsibility to protect the wild, living nature that surrounds us.
Late summer and fall are the best time for hiking and camping. Dry paths, warm days and cool evenings. With the right clothes in your backpack, it's easy to stay warm without having to carry a lot of extra weight.
